Dr. Eng. Hikmat E. Zerbe

Dr. Hikmat has over twenty two years of experience in most domains of structural engineering projects in the USA and in Syria.  The last ten of which are coupled with an extensive experience in project management, value engineering, and disciplines coordination aspects.   

Holding a BS., an MS., and a Ph.D. degrees from prestigious USA universities makes Dr. Hikmat capable of performing any engineering related matter with great confidence.  A 6-year experience with Brown and Root, in Houston Texas crowns Dr. Hikmat capabilities and make him a distinguished engineer with a broad knowledge of international standards.

Dr. Hikmat had lectured in many universities, was invited as guest speaker in many symposiums, and participated in international conferences in the USA, Japan, Portugal, Algeria, and Syria, as well as provided training courses to senior engineers in the domain of earthquake design, retrofit, and rehabilitation of reinforced concrete buildings.

He has previously served in ACI, ASCE, and SEAoT committees in the USA, and currently a member of the Arab-League committee for the preparation of the Unified Recommendations for the design of Reinforced Concrete Buildings for Seismic Resistance, and also a member of the Syria Arab Code Committee. Dr. Hikmat was awarded memberships in the USA, National Engineering Honor Society (Tau Beta Pi) and in the USA National Scientific Research Honor Society (Sigma Xi)

He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas, USA, and a registered Consultant Engineer in the Syrian Order of Engineers – Aleppo Branch, Aleppo – Syria.
