The Chami Villa

Although they are smaller in size compared with other structures, the architectural innovations in villas make their structural work very challenging.

This villa was no special case.  It contains large reception rooms in the ground floor, living rooms, bedrooms and a study in the first and second floors.

A 3-D model with dynamic analysis using a major structural software package was a necessity in order to understand the load path and the modal participation of this irregular structure.

(The villa was put in service in 2007).
